April & May agility updates

We have received so many great news during the last few weeks that I have not been able to keep up with the updates, but here we go :-)

Kotka 24.4.
Hertta & Manya (EW Gimme All Your Lovin’) ran a clean run on a class 3 agility course, and received a CC by being placed 4th / 49.

Esa & Siisti (EW Tru Luxury ) ran a clean run on another agility course and ended up on 4th place.

 

Mikkeli 25.4.
Esa & Siisti (EW Tru Luxury ) won a class 3 jumping course.

Jyväskylä 25.4.
Pasi & Wiu (EW White-Hot) ran a double-0 and won two courses.
Nadi (EW Me Myself N’Eye) & I also ran a double-0.

Lempäälä 29.4.
Outi & Spessu (EW Modern Stalking) ran a clean run on a class 2 agility course.

1.-2.5. Seinäjoki
Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing) & I ran clean on all 5 courses during the two competition days.
Hertz (EW Soulmate) & Split (EW Sunborn) both ran 4 clean runs out of five with Marko.
Nadi (EW Me Myself N’Eye) & I ran 3 clean runs out of 5. Nadi is now qualified to compete in the Finnish Championships and the national team tryouts.
Marjo & TiuTau (EW Eavesdropper) ran a clean run on an agility course.

2.5. Helsinki
Outi & Spessu (EW Modern Stalking) won a class 2 agility course with a clean run.

3.5. Lieto
Pasi & Wiu (EW White-Hot) won three class 3 courses.

13.5. Seinäjoki
Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing) & I won both of the 2 class 3 agility courses of the day

14.5. Kokkola
Sari & Wingo (EW Whodunnit) won a class 3 competition with a clean run.
Kati & Gimma (EW Still Lovin’Ewe) ran a clean run and were placed 4th.

Joensuu 14.5.
Tuomas & Bruno (EW Eye Spot Ewe) ran a double-0 in class 3, they were placed 1st & 2nd.

Kotka 14.5.
Esa & Siisti (EW Tru Luxury ) won a class 3 agility course.

Agility @ Vantaa, Seinäjoki & Lohja

Esa and Siisti (EW Tru Luxury) ran two clean runs last weekend at Vantaa. They were placed 1st and 2nd on class 3 courses of almost 60 dogs.

Kati & Gimma (EW Still Lovin’Ewe) ran a double-0 at Seinäjoki. They were placed 2nd and 5th. Marko & Hertz (EW Soulmate) won the jumping course. Also Sari & Wingo (EW Whodunnit) , Marko & Split (EW Sunborn), Marjukka & Sentti (EW Extra Terrestrial) and Hertta & Manya (EW Gimme All Your Lovin’) ran a clean run on one of the courses of the day.

Satu and Pera (EW Mastermind) started their agility career at Lohja. A clean run and 2nd place on an agility course. Well done!

September results

I have been far too busy lately and have not been able to keep up to date with all the great news I have received. Here they finally are, hope I didn’t forget too many of them!

Marjukka & Sentti (EW Extra Terrestrial) ran a clean run on a jumping course in Nokia. They were placed 2nd in class and received a jumping-CC. A couple of weeks later they ran a clean run on a class 3 agility course in Lempäälä. They received their 3rd agility certificate, and Sentti now has all the required agility results for the Finnish Agility Champion title. One breed show still to attend to ;)

Reetta & Höyry (EW Ewe-No-Me) won a class 3 agility course in Oulu. On the next day they were placed 2nd on an agility course with a clean run.

Misa & Tuumis P. (EW Expect the Unxpected) ran a clean run on a class 3 agility course in Helsinki.

Marko & Split (EW Sunborn) won a class 3 agility course in Seinäjoki. The second course of the day was also won by Marko, this time with Hertz (EW Soulmate).

Esa & Siisti (EW Tru Luxury) were competing in Senior Handler Finnish Championships. They won the first of two courses and were placed third in the final results.

Hertta & Manya (EW Gimme All Your Lovin’) ran their first clean run in class 3.

Tuire & Kofi (EW Game On) passed the behaviour test. Kofi got his first title: BH.

Paula & Casey (EW CSI) were competing in the Finnish Championships of Rally Obedience. They received 90 points and the title RTK4.

Era & Mooli (EW Eat My Dust) won a class 1 agility competition in Kirkkonummi and moved up to class 2.

Kati & Daami (EW Girl Power) won a class 1 agility competition in Maalahti. Kati also won one of the class 3 courses with Daami’s mom Gimma (EW Still Lovin’Ewe).

Four of the puppies from our M-litter by Nero (Hakukaaren Nero) and Siisti (EW Tru Luxury) have been to their official x-rays:

Vaasa District Championships

The District Championships were held today in Vaasa. Marko got to compete with Loox, too, since I have hurt my ankle and cannot run properly at the moment.

First we were competing on a class 3 jumping course. The results of the first course were:

1. Marko & Split (EW Sunborn)
2. Sari & Wingo (EW Whodunnit)
3. Marko & Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing)
5. Jenni & Loffo (Nice of You to Come Bye Dust Devil)

The second course was an agility course. It was won by Marko & Hertz with a clean run. Split was placed 3rd with one fault.

Marko won the Individual District Championship Marko with Hertz. Since Split was second and Loox was third, there was no room for anyone else on the podium :)

This was the 7th year in a row that our family (Marko or me) has won the Vaasa District Championship.

As if this was not enough, we also got to celebrate the Team Championship victory! The team OCA consisted of Kati & Gimma (EW Still Lovin’Ewe), Marko & Split & Hertz and Nina & malinois Yaz. Beautiful clean runs for all siblings from the Eyewitness S-litter!

Super work everyone, congratulations! I also want to congratulate my student Pia Lumme with Sheltie Indian for winning the Championship in class small! So proud of you all <3

Agility @ Vaasa

Finally some updates after a couple of very busy weeks :)  Two weeks ago we got some great results for the Eyewitness team in Vaasa: 

Katja & Luna (EW Gold Dust) ran a clean run in class 1 and won their class. All four of the class 3 competitions were won by an Eyewitness dog and we got some other placements, too:

On Saturday the first course was won by Marjo & TiuTau (EW Eavesdropper).  On the second course of the day Marko & Hertz (EW Soulmate) were 1st, Jenni & Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing) were 2nd and Marjo & TiuTau were 3rd.

On Sunday the first course was won by Sari & Wingo (EW Whodunnit), the 2nd place went to Jenni & Loox. Sunday’s second course was won by Marko & Hertz, Sari & Wingo were 2nd.

Finnish Team Tryouts 2014

The Finnish national team tryout competition took place in the beautiful Rovaniemi in Northern Finland a couple of weeks ago. It was exciting to get to compete in this exotic environment. You could see reindeer walking down the street near the competition arena!

Qualifying to this competition is not easy (you need to have done minimum 7 clean runs during the past year including a double-0 and a win) so it was a proud moment for me to see that we had so many dogs from the Eyewitness team were competing in class large of 114 dogs!

After two courses on Saturday, the following dogs & handlers qualified to compete also on Sunday: TiuTau & Marjo, Split & Marko, Wingo & Sari, Soihtu & Anna-Maija, Wiu & Pasi and Loox & Jenni.

In the final results there were four Eyewitness dogs in the top 20! Anna-Maija was placed 9th with Soihtu, Pasi & Wiu were 12th, Sari & Wingo were 19th and Marko & Split 20th.

Huge congrats to everyone, you all did some pretty nice runs! Special congrats to Anna-Maija & Soihtu who were just amazing during the whole weekend, I am so proud of you <3

A big congratulations also to our friends and OneMind Dogs handlers Janita & Fu, Raisa & Repo, Tuulia & Pirtu and Jaakko & Zen for making it to the Finnish team! So very cool!

Finnish Agility Championships 2014

Finnish Agility Championships were held last weekend in Tampere. SM-uutiset suomeksi

There was a big competition on Friday before the Championship courses. Pasi & Wiu (EW White-Hot) were placed 4th on an agility course of 120 dogs. The jumping course of 85 dogs was won by Misa & Tuumis (EW Expect The Unxpected ) who also qualified to the National Team Tryout competition that will take place in Rovaniemi next week.

Saturday was the day for the Team competition. The Individual Championship competition started on Sunday morning. There were 211 large dogs competing. Eyewitness team was represented quite well in this event, 10 Eyewitness dogs and two or our own, imported dogs, had qualified to compete:

The first course was a jumping course, judged by Katarina Virkkala. 50 best dogs qualified to the finals from this course, among them six Eyewitness dogs: Wiu & Pasi, Hertz & Marko, Split & Marko, Wingo & Sari, Tuumis & Misa and TiuTau & Marjo!

The challenging agility course was judged by Alen Marekovic. Both Wiu & Pasi and Tuumis & Misa did very well on this course and

Pasi Kangas & Eyewitness White–Hot ”Wiu” !

Tuumis & Misa were placed 6th.

Pasi and Wiu have been constantly doing amazing performances and great results this year. Pasi has the ability to move amazingly well on courses and he is very talented in making rhythm changes. He is also an extremely accurate handler who keeps up the contact to his dog all the way through the course. This team is working beautifully together, we are so very proud of them!

Heartiest congratulations to Pasi & Wiu and Misa & Tuumis for an amazing weekend, and everyone else who did some super runs! Special congrats also to our dear friend Jaakko who won the silver medal with Chi!

Having fun with OneMind Dogs Training Challenge

We tried out the OneMind Dogs Training Challenge 5 with Hertz (EW Soulmate), Split (EW Sunborn) and Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing) and had a blast! Here is the video from our training session.

Agility @ Vaasa

There was an agility competition in Vaasa last weekend. Sari & Wingo (EW Whodunnit) won an agility course, Marko & Hertz (EW Soulmate) were placed 2nd. On the jumping course Sari & Wingo were placed 2nd, Loffo (Nice of You to Come Bye Dust Devil) & I were 3rd.

Congrats Sari for great runs again :)

Seinäjoki & Lapua

Loox (Jakovall Oh You Pretty Thing) and I finally got to start competing again after Loox’s maternity leave. We ran a clean run on a jumping course in Seinäjoki last Wednesday, being placed 2nd in class. A couple of days later we ran a triple-0 in Lapua, placed 3rd, 3rd & 4th in class. So good to have my girl back <3

Many more great runs to Eyewitness team in the Lapua competition: Kati and Gimma (EW Still Lovin'Ewe) ran a double-0, placed 2nd & 3rd. They are now qualified to compete in Finnish Championships.

A clean run and 4th place for Marjo and TiuTau (EW Eavesdropper) on an agility course. Marko ran a clean run on jumping course with Split (EW Sunborn), 2nd place, and on an agility course with Hertz (EW Soulmate), 2nd place. One more clean run for Loffo (Nice of You to Come Bye Dust Devil) & I on an agility course, 4th in class.
